Burnham on Sea Infants PTFA (Parent, Teachers, Friends Association)

Who are we?

We are a group of like-minded parents, grandparents, friends and staff members who raise funds for the school by organising social and fundraising events throughout the year. Our role is to encourage closer links between home and school.

How is money raised?

The PTFA raises money through various events. In the last school year, we organised Family Bingo events, Disco's, Film night and our very successful Winter and Summer Fairs. We have some more exciting events coming up in the next few weeks.

The PTFA are always looking for new fundraising ideas and anyone can submit them. Donations can also be made without any link to events.

How is money spent?

Funds raised by the PTFA are intended to provide ‘extras’ not already provided by the school's main income – these are usually 'fun things' that make learning more interesting and exciting. The PTFA committee decides how to spend the funds by working closely with Mrs Hatch.

We have recently paid for an external theatre company to come into school and perform 'The Secret Garden' and are now looking to raise some funds to create a Calm Garden within the outside forest school area.

How can I be involved in my PTFA?

There are so many ways you can help with the PTFA and help fundraise for the School, whether you have lots of time to offer or not. Some of the roles are time-consuming, although also rewarding. If you cannot commit to a big job, look out for things you can do less frequently, such as helping out at events or donating prizes! Any amount of help & support is much appreciated!
